1. Think
It starts with thinking. Abstract and complex pattern recognition is what separates us from other mammals and other living organisms.
2. Read
I love to read. History, biographies, current events, psychology, behavioral economics, you name it. More reading equals more learning.
3. Write
Next comes new ideas that I write about. Informal journaling, jotting down thoughts, long form essays, two published books to date. Writing helps me synthesize and express my thoughts.
4. Build
Tinker, play, prototype, build, test, refine, repeat. Whether it's my son's treehouse, my garden, business ideas, software, or a new product, I love to build new things. Building is an act of creation.
